Dancing To The Rhythm of Health

  • May 24, 2020
  • 9:46 pm

Sometimes in our hustle and bustle lives we have a tendency to forget about what once brought us so much joy. Today, I would like to encourage you to switch on some music and just move! Find a reason to take a time out for 3 minutes and break out the old cassettes, albums, CDs, or just plug in your Spotify to a loudspeaker and dance to a favorite oldie. If you are a person that is embarrassed to dance in front of or around others, let me encourage you to find a spot in your home where you can lock the door and just let loose!

There are so many benefits of dance. From increased muscular strength and improved condition of the heart and lungs, to improved cognitive abilities. If you really let yourself go, dance can be quite meditative. I know we all think of meditation as sitting quietly with our legs crossed and eyes closed, all the while, concentrating solely on our breath. If that style of peace practice is not for you, then maybe dance is! And the more song and dance you can fit in during the day, the more benefits you will see and feel.

Go dance and enjoy the smile it brings to your face and soul!
